Manual

Character

The sheet during play: numbers, rolls, resources, rests, spells, gear and character state.

Start with The sheet for its layout and interaction rule. The other pages separate the mechanics you may need to look up during play.

  1. The sheet

The parts you would not guess by clicking. One rule for every row, what a rest and a level-up will not do for you, and where each number comes from.

  2. Rolls

Read the modifier before rolling, apply Advantage or Disadvantage, and choose any riders after the d20 lands.

  3. Resources and rests

Spend counters and toggles, read their reset rules, and review a rest before it changes the sheet.

  4. Leveling up

Choose the next level, answer only its new decisions, and return to anything still owed later.

  5. Spells and inventory

Prepare and cast spells, equip or attune items, use consumables, and keep track of money and weight.

  6. Character state and house rules

Hit points, concentration, conditions, notes, house rules and the parts of the sheet that remain under your control.
