Account or local, the four buttons on the start screen, the one import door, and where the app opens next time.
- Two ways to run it. Signed in, or Continue without an account: local mode keeps everything in this browser and sends nothing anywhere. Accounts are by invitation while Sheetling is young.
- Four buttons on the start screen. Create a character (a six-step wizard; build at any starting level), Run a table (needs an account, because a party lives online), Take a look around first (three finished characters to poke at and delete), Import a file….
- One import door. The same Import a file… button reads a Sheetling export, a 5eTools homebrew file, a Fight Club 5 backup or compendium and a Game Master 5 campaign. It never asks what you are handing it. The preview says what the file holds and gives each part a checkbox and a destination: your roster, your Library, a party you run. Closing the preview writes nothing.
- The wizard says what it still needs. Still to do before you can continue lists every open pick, and each line jumps to it. Create character stays greyed while Review lists an issue, in words such as "Pick 2 class skills (1 chosen so far)."
- Your library shows up in the Class step. One row per file with a checkbox. A file written for the other ruleset is unticked and says so.
- It reopens where you were. A fresh tab or a home-screen icon opens your last place: a sheet, or a tab of a party. Inside an open tab,
/is always your sheet.
