Encounters
Prepare and start an encounter, track creatures and characters, reveal information and finish with XP.

The encounter
- Prepared until you press Start. The party sees nothing before that. Fight keeps a round counter and turns; Scene has neither. Free movement turns a running fight into a scene; Roll initiative turns it back.
- The round counter counts what you type or roll. It is the only clock; no duration is tracked anywhere.
- Creatures' hit points live here (Damage, Heal, Temp). Characters' hit points come from their own sheets, read-only, and so do their conditions.
- What the party knows of a creature is three steps: Hidden (no chip, no token), Seen (an unnamed token), Named. Details adds Type, AC, HP as bloodied only, Resistances and Conditions. Nothing reveals itself; the log records each change.
- Seating a character puts it at initiative 0, revealed.
- End encounter offers Award N XP each (an offer on each seated sheet; unrated monsters are left out and the tooltip says so) and Next:
, the next prepared encounter in the same adventure. - Notes — yours only. A campaign file's own lines for the fight land here too.
The map has its own battle maps reference. For imported encounters, see Importing from Game Master 5.
